By using AltoUnlockPDF ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AltoUnlockPDF.

Service Description

AltoUnlockPDF provides free online PDF conversion tools including HTML-to-PDF conversion, OCR text extraction, image-to-PDF conversion, and document scanning tools. The Service is provided "as is" via the website altounlockpdf.com.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for personal and commercial purposes, subject to the following restrictions. You must not:

• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Process files containing illegal content (child exploitation material, etc.)
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, or compromise the Service
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically download output files at scale
• Represent our Service as your own or resell API access without authorization
• Upload files you do not have legal rights to process

Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain full ownership of all files you upload and the converted outputs. By uploading files, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process those files solely to provide the conversion service.

Our content: The AltoUnlockPDF website, brand, tools, and blog content are our intellectual property. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be available 100% of the time
• Converted output will be perfect or error-free
• OCR accuracy will meet any specific standard for every document type

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of OCR output before relying on it for important purposes.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AltoUnlockPDF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, conversion errors, or business losses.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free users, is $0).

Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in courts located in San Francisco County, California.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We'll notify you of material changes via the website.
